Scam MacBook text message

I’m getting a text message regarding a MacBook Pro that I supposedly purchased for $1499 from phone number 8***********0. How can I verify scam or if someone might be stealing identity

It's almost certainly a scam, and equally likely that it was just randomly sent, either from a scam/spam list you've gotten onto or just a robodialer dialing every number in sequence. Do not respond to the text in any way; just mark it as spam and delete it.
