No Sound for incoming Messages on iPhone 12 after 18.1 update

Why did both iPhone 12, wife and I, stop making sounds after 18.1 update?

I had this same problem. Chatted with Apple Support and they had me go

to Settings>Accessibility>Face ID & Attention, and then turn

off Attention Aware Features. This solved the problem for me.

We had an appointment with an Apple Genius for a laptop issue. Apple removed the quacking sound from the OS which left her phone quackless. Thank you for your response.

I spoke too soon. This worked for about an hour and then the sounds stopped playing.
