What does my iPhone 14 shows purple lines when closed to sunlight?

Every once in a while, I will be in the car (passenger) and I will look at my phone on a very sunny day and instead of the phone turning off and cooling down, it just shows weird enlonged c shapes that only come on when exposed to the light. I think it has to do with it being a LED screen but I’m not sure.
