Gmail accessed by Apple Mail

I have been using Gmail for my work/firm email for years. I am finding that Apple Mail has improved a lot, and I am mainly in the Apple ecosystem. However, my business partner will not change from her Windows environment, or from the programs she has been using for years.

I would like to start using Apple Mail. Will the actions I take in Apple Mail reflect in the Gmail account? For instance, if I delete an email, or snooze an email, or do some other action, will it reproduce in the Gmail account so that my partner and I are "on the same page?"

Even though this forum asks below about which device I'm using, the fact is that I'm using Macbook Pro, iPad, iPhone 16, and Apple Watch.

Mac mini, macOS 15.1

It will. Gmail works the same way as other IMAP email services, including iCloud. It syncs email to devices signed into the account.

For further detail see Google's comments in:

Set up Gmail with a third-party email client (in which Apple Mail is recommended)

I am not sure what you mean by being on the same page. Are you using the same email account as your partner?

I've been using Gmail with Apple Mail for years, both on IOS, iPadOS and MacOS. Every thing I do with Apple Mail in my gMail account so far has worked fine except when Google decodes that I have to login in to my email account again. The main problem is that when I do login in Google wants me to authorize the login by clicking on a notice in Gmail (which I don't use). Sometime I get the notification in youTube and can authorize but I've never been able to authorize using Gmail which Google wants me to do
