CarPlay causes Apple Music to play at 10x speed when listening to Audible app

iPhone 15 Pro on iOS 17.7.1

When I'm listening to an audio book on Audible or sometimes podcasts on a third party app while in the car, and the phone is connected to CarPlay either through Bluetooth or via cord - when I turn off the engine, Apple Music will automatically turn on and play the next song in its queue at 10x speed. No song controls will work so I can't stop the sped-up play - and the music will play either through the phone speakers or through my AirPods if I happen to still have them in my ears during the drive. This happens even if Apple Music was never open on my phone (I never use Apple Music in the car). The only way to stop its play is to hard-close Apple Music by swiping the app up from the app view dashboard. So because this behavior happens often, I know that I do not have Apple Music previously open because I've had to hard close it already on another occasion. When I hard close Apple Music, I cannot simply hit play on the Audible controls in my idle screen. I need to actively open the Audible app and hit play from there.

Expected Behavior: disconnect from CarPlay and continue to play the audio book in the currently active & open app.
