How to know if my iPhone is compromised?

If someone can see your WhatsApp messages, it means your WhatsApp account has been compromised, not your iPhone.
You can view the devices you are sharing your location with by using Safety Check. In addition there are a number of other things you can do as well:
- Change device Passcode
- Change Apple ID Password
- View other devices signed into your Apple Account
- View data you are sharing with others
- View Trusted Phone numbers that are set on your account
