I am unable to use my computer! Files don’t open when I double click them. If I open a program and navigate to a file and try to open it, I get:
the operation couldn’t be completed NSF File Provider Internal Error Domain error 12
The few things I am able to do take forever to do. I have little ability to test stuff.
Help appreciated!

Hi folks,
As an update, the computer stopped even booting up, so I completely erased the hard drive and started fresh. Thanks to iCloud, I still have all my files. But I decided not to migrate the whole drive because my library files are 564 GB, and I think this was part of the problem. I barely had 100 GB available on the hard drive.
I would still love to know what this error message means if anyone has the ability to investigate and explain. I haven't migrated any of my old files or applications over to the new clean installation because I don't seem to be able to do that without also migrating the library.
