Photos on iCloud

When my photos on my iPhone got to 9999, the next photos started over again with 0001. That is fine except iCloud will not save the numbers after 9999. I am afraid if something happens to my phone, I will lose all these subsequent pictures. I seem to have plenty of storage. What can I do to fix this?

Adding on:

I've used multiple cameras, and they all start at something like IMG_0001, and there's never been a problem.

Unseen by us, Photos replaces the filename with a crazy but unique identifier. This dinosaur

was given the filename "DSC_2923.JPG" by my Nikon. But in Photos it is known by the awkward moniker

0F710AC6-9044-4D84-89C1-1D0B63CC2D1F.jpeg

which is really unlikely to get confused with any other name.

Photos remembers the original filename and records it in its database. So "DSC_2923.JPG" is what's shown in the info window, and that's what I get when I export the picture. But Photos cleverly avoids any confusion.
