i have got a new phone and other times it wrong, when I go into settings to change the date and time the time zone function is just goes around in a circle and it doesn't give me the option to update time

Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
Ensure Set Automatically is turned on. This option will use your location to set the correct time zone.
If it’s already on and still incorrect, toggle it off, then back on.

Enable Location Services for Time Zone
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Ensure Location Services is turned on.
Scroll down and tap System Services.
Ensure Setting Time Zone is enabled.
Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
