I don't understand how Apple can continuously make photos better and better and they can never get voicemail right. They are manufacturing phones, right? Phones are about audio technology, right? And still, no matter how many different ways I try, my outgoing voicemail, which I use for my business, sounds like muffled crap. Apple's grade for audio technology = E.

Carriers provide certain services. They don’t want to give control of certain services because of add on services they provide for a fee. Certain services are regulated by the Federal Communications Commission and government regulations.
We can argue about who should fix it all day, but the resolution lies with the carrier.
If Iphone is a phone company, they need to work with the carriers to improve phone service. I use Tmobile.
