iPad keyboard disconnecting randomly

I have an iPad Pro and the apple Smart Keyboard which I have had for years. Everything was working fine until it appeared the keyboard kept disconnecting for no specific reason. I would remove and replace it and that would fix it sometimes, but started fixing it less and less. I searched for solutions, but found one myself that worked and I had to share it! The thread I found was too old to respond to, so I started a new one with a problem and the solution!

If your keyboard is older, remove the ipad and look at the “film” on both sides of the connectors. If it looks a bit rough with some edges visible, it is probably not allowing your ipad to sit well and keep its connection. I gently scraped off all the film on both sides and my keyboard is back to working flawlessly! I hope this helps someone also in the situation!!
