How do I add an app to Channels so it will be included in Search on Apple TV?

I specifically want to add WeTV aka Tencent right now. Plus others in the future. I have tried to use Search using titles that I know for certain are only available currently via WeTV but they are not found so there is no prompt to add the channel.

Apple TV HD, tvOS 18

Yes. The Channels in the Apple TV App are special versions of their service and only they can add them to the Apple TV app. They are not connected to the stand alone apps in any way.

And, this is correct even though I subscribe to WeTV via Apple.

Yes, you subscription is for the WeTV stand alone app. The Channels within the Apple TV app have different and unrelated subscriptions to the stand alone apps.

I can connect a streaming app so that I will obtain results when I search for a series using the Search function on Apple TV that is ONLY available through WeTV?

If the App supports the connection, it can be connected so the Apple TV app search can pull results from there.

From the link provided in my previous reply:

"The Apple TV app recommends new content or the next episode in a series you watch from a connected app (supported streaming apps only). Connected apps appear in the Apple TV app on all your devices where you’re signed in with your Apple ID."

You cannot add channels to Apple TV. Channels are added by their owners only. They are not related to external stand-alone apps in any way.

If you want to add results from other Apps, (un-related to Channels in the Apple TV app), you can connect them if the apps support the option.

Update: I went to Settings - Apps - Apple TV - scrolled to Connect to TV. WeTV is not shown. Neither is IQYI or Crunchyroll to name two others that I have downloaded.
