Apple ID confusion

I seem to have lost my Apple ID.1

my wife and I used to share the same ID, but she changed hers to be just her, and that works fine. If I try to use my email address on the App Store it reverts to her name and my password doesn’t work.

It sounds as if she may have updated the ID you were both using instead of making a new one. If so one of you might need to make a new Apple ID now. An email address can only be connected to one Apple ID. See How to create a new Apple Account - Apple Support. See also Authorization vs. association - Apple Community for some background on issues you may have using previously common content. You might wish to set up Family Sharing for your two IDs.
