Forgot my password to my iPad, it has not been disabled

I have not used my iPad in a year and have forgotten my password. How do i get back in?

You restore to factory settings as outlined here If you forgot your iPad passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support

I don't know about getting it back but you may reset it using your computer in recovery mode . This deletes all data & settings including your passcode and allows you to set it up again . Details are in the link that razmee209 provided .

( FYI … due to zero security risks in my home , when I set up my devices , I choose the option " no passcode " .
