default carplay layout

I use Car play across multiple cars and also often rental cars. I really want to have the same Custom APP layout on every car. It would be AWSOME to be able to customize the default layout across any new car play connection. Currently you get the Apple suggested default layout which you then always have to spend time customizing back to the standard layout I like.

Shortcuts/Widget To Toggle CarPlay Button Hi! I have a suggestion regarding CarPlay, rather than a question. Please enable shortcuts to allow us to quickly toggle the CarPlay switch on or off while we're in our car. I prefer that CarPlay connects automatically whenever I start the car, but there are times when I'd like to have discreet phone conversations or watch media content on my iPhone without the audio being played on the car speakers. I usually engage in these activities when I'm not driving and the car is stationary, such as when I'm waiting for someone in a parking bay with other people in the car. However, as soon as I resume driving, I'd like to connect to CarPlay again so I can listen to Apple Music while driving. Currently, toggling the CarPlay button through the Settings/CarPlay/MyCar/CarPlay On/Off menu feels troublesome and highly inconvenient. Therefore, I kindly request that you make it available through shortcuts or even a widget. I believe many others facing the same issue would also appreciate this improvement. Thank you for considering my suggestion.

Feature Request: Car Play screen for iPhone Many people have Car Play. Many do not. Almost everybody has their phone mounted on their dash. For those of us who do not have Car Play it would be awesome to have a Car Play app or screen where we can assemble a few apps in landscape for easy access while driving. E.g. Maps (1/2 screen), HomeKit & Music. Basically a scaled down version of how it displays in a Car Play car. Many motorcyclist also mount their phone to their handlebar. This would be an awesome tool for riding as well. Sneak it in to the iOS 16 release!!

CarPlay split screen from 4 to 2 windows Just installed a new head unit with CarPlay. It either gives me one window or 4 (split screen has Google Maps on left half and the right half is divided between 3 apps). I only want one app on the right half of the screen (Music) but see no options for that. Music is currently one of the three, but it’s too small, currently.
