How to remove Safari from "Now Playing"

The outcome is a double failure: Apple Music continues the playback, and Safari Teams starts playing the "calling you" sound, even though no-one is calling me.

The whole thing just feels broken and feels like a bug in macOS.

How can I stop Safari from ever inserting stuff into the "Now Playing" control center menu?
