Cannot pair hearing aids with iPhone 16 iOS 18.1.1

I cannot pair my Phonak hearing aids with my new iPhone 16 iOS 18.1.1. Tried all the usual things - turn off phone, hearing aids, forget this device, uninstall Easy Line app, toggle Bluetooth off/on and nothing works. The HA are not discoverable in Bluetooth and will not pair. I have severe hearing loss and my phone is my lifeline. I’ve read that the only solution is to send the HA back to the manufacturer (Phonak) and have the serial # scrubbed? Apparently Apple is aware of the issue but only focusing on MFI HA. I’m so disappointed in my new phone purchase and Apple in general- users with disabilities should be a priority, no?

Your issue is with Phonak not Apple.
