Can i add my email account without adding all my contacts on my iphone with IOS 18.11?

Since updating my iphone 14 pro to IOS 18.11 it is only allowing adding my email account if i allow full access to my all my contacts, my calendar, my profile, and read and write my email?!!!!! My account was working fine for years until this latest update. This is very intrusive. Is there a work around?

Syncing contacts iOS 15.77 iPhone 7 Plus I use my gmail account as my apple iCloud ID forever I just switched to a new phone but I noticed I am missing alot of the contacts I still have on my old iPhone 7 Plus. For some reason those contacts do not want to transfer from the iPhone to the gmail account, and thus they are not showing up on my new phone. I have spent all morning trying just about every settings but nothing is working. how do I force a sync to my gmail account with all those contacts stored on the iPhone. the iPhone no longer connected to a network other than WIFI.
