Y-Disk app incompatibility with iPhone 16 and Verilux flash drive

Hi, I am having iPhone 16 Pro. I purchased Verilux® 256 GB Flash Drive for the data transfer purpose.

I tried using this with help of Y-Disk application. However Y-Disk failed to detect the flash drive everytime and popped up message: "usb has not been plugged in"

I ensured all permissions are granted to the app. Also followed all YouTube advices and could not find anything which confirms that Y-Disk app could detect the flash drive. Whereas, the iphone file app shows the flashdrive, but the Y-Disk drive does not show the same. Hence the files can not be transferred from phone to flash drive and vice versa. Can anyone please suggest the resolution / if it worked for anyone?

Also please advise what is the BEST WAY to transfer large sized video / audio files from iPhone 16 Pro to Windows Laptop (not Mac Book).

This similar problem to yours happened to me. So I purchased a 14 port multi adapter. /Usb C male for iPhone 16. $20

it works best using the usb 3 for the fastest compatibility .

I connected via an older 1T multi “Y “ Disk.

Just remember to use the Files App (already installed on your phone .. to Browse to access the USB Drive etc …
