Ever since I've updated my iPhone to 18.1.1 the search function in photos is extremely limited, only allowing me to search certain things and only showing recent photos when I do search. In messages, I can hardly search anything at all. This is pretty frustrating if they removed this feature because I used it on the daily for finding things in my phone.
I have iPhone 12 Pro iOS 18.2 and find the search function in the Message and Photos app very helpful.
