How to create horizontal two-level Pop-Up Menus Within One Row in Numbers

I successfully created a vertical two-level pop-up menu based on Yellowbox's approach (a big thank you to Yellowbox!). However, my requirement is to create horizontal two-level pop-up menus within one row, where the combination of choices from both levels references the corresponding data.

Yellowbox's method relies on using Filters to adjust the pop-up menu, but Filters work only for columns. This limitation creates an obstacle for generating horizontal pop-up menus.

Example Requirement:

  • Select options:
    • Class A (1, 2, 3) ---------> "Class A-1" = "Y Lee"
    • Class B (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) -----> "Class B-2" = "K Huang"
    • Class C (1, 2, 3) ---------> "Class C-2" = "T Lee"

I don't know what can I do to create horizontal pop-up menus
