Shortcut suddenly failing with Xcp error on message handling

I,ve had a shortcut running flawlessly for months. It’s purpose is to send an “I’m ok” text to my Neice everyday at 9 am. So I have two automations that kick off at 9…one just starts playing music to get my attention. The next one starts when I select “run”, and it brings up a menu of options. When I select the “ok” option, it then sends the text, exits the menu loop, and stops the music. So about a week ago, I’m presuming after a sw update, the automations kick off, but the one with the menu option fails with an xcp message handling error. I assumed this might have something to do with the phone not being unlocked, so I tested after unlocking the phone, and sometimes it works sometimes not. I also created a new shortcut to do the same thing, but again, it works sometimes and not other times. I am using iOS 18.1.1 on an iPhone 11. Any suggestions? I already tried restarting the phone.

thx

Thanks for your reply, but my question was not about how to send a text to a person using Shortcuts. I already know how to do that and as I said, my shortcut was working fine until a recent software update. My problem is that I’m getting an error when it tries to run, but only sometimes so I know my shortcut code is fine. Something is occurring to keep the message handler from working correctly.
