Says I need almost 13 G free to do 18.3
i went to ITunes and backed up my phone
i hit the update phone to latest software version
HOW DO I UPDATE TO 18.2 ?

On the iPhone, open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Software Update: Here does it show that your IPhone 12 has any updates? NOTE: If you have beta updates set to ON, then turn that OFF and check for updates again.

You can try updating from iTunes on your computer which needs less storage space on the iPhone, but even so you'll probably still need to clear more space.

FYI, here is what I see in Software Update on an iPhone 12 mini that is running iOS 17.7.
Here is what I see in the Finder, when running macOS Ventura 13.7.1.
I do not know what would happen if I clicked "Check for Update" – whether iTunes would then notice that iOS 18.2 was available, or if it would just check for a later release of iOS 17. For now, I am keeping my iPhone on iOS 17.
I would like to try. My problem is that Itunes says I am up to date with 17.7
You can click on it- it will just say you are up to date
Yes- it says 18.2 is available but unable to download because it needs almost 13G of free space. I have no memory of beta updates & cannot see that tab anywhere. Where would that appear ?
