Apple Mail app crashing after upgrading to 18.2

I can no longer use the stock Mail app on my iPhone 15 after upgrade to 18.2. When I tap the icon, it momentarily looks like it's going to open, briefly flashes a white screen and then dies. Rebooting doesn't help.

Stumbled on the issue working another problem. MDM config shows set on device for user display name and e-mail address so we were leaving blank. Found that it was not filled in on device and iOS 18.1.1 and before did not seem care about this. iOS 18.2 crashed. Filled in with ${userEmailAddress} and crash goes away.

Ok, after completely deleting the mail account that was giving me issues, everything appears to be working 100%. The account that wasn't working was set up as a Microsoft Exchange server on Linux box with several year old software called "Zimbra." I'm gonna guess that whatever protocol that software was using is no longer supported.

Fortunately I don't need that account.

We are seeing the same issue. Native Mail App crashes. If you remove bad account, it works until you enable that account then it crashes when you try to open that e-mail box. IMAP e-mail profile for bad account is loaded through MDM (worked with 18.1.1). If you load account manually through device it works, so it would seem in our case there is some sort of bug or difference in 18.2 in leveraging the iOS e-mail profile from our MDM. Are the others here having problem also using MDM to setup e-mail account?

Sorry, that’s the one. Have you tried logging out of iCloud and logging back in? This will result in credence debit cards being removed from Apple Wallet app. It can also fix syncing issues that may cause issues.

Ok, problem fixed. I went into the app setting for mail and disabled one of the accounts and opened the app. The app opened. I then re-enabled the account. Mail app still opens. Yay!

UPDATE: Nope, actually I can't access that account. When I try to go to its inbox. It crashes. And email is not coming into one of my other accounts. I just get a spinning loader when I pull down to refresh.
