Share iCloud files with Non-Apple account users

I need to know how to share files on iCloud with non-apple account users. I just need to share as in view, not modify. OneDrive lets me share with anyone no matter what, which is useful when dealing with non-techy people. So, I would assume I could do the same with iCloud, otherwise why am I paying for iCloud storage?

Making iCloud folder sharing work for Pages and Keynote files Hello, can someone please tell me if I can share folders via iCould for collaboration with someone else? I am using a new iMac and have tried this in so many different ways - even asking ChatGPT for advice. But it just does not work. I always get an error message. ChatGPT says that this is normal and that I should ultimately just use a different provider. I would love to share a folder to easily update files and save them in apple formats like pages, keynote etc. When I use pCloud e.g. I cannot use Pages (or just download them, but not edit directly). Sorry, an Apple Account is required to share files, even in read-only mode. I just tested it with an e-mail account that is not iCloud-related, and I'm required to connect to an existing Apple Account or create an Apple Account.
