Battery health discrepancy on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Hello everyone,

I bought iPhone 15 Pro Max 20 days ago and I use it lightly for social media and YouTube only.

I have used it for 11 charging cycles so far, and in the settings, it shows that the battery is at 100%. However, when I use the shortcut to check the battery health it shows 98.11%.

I don't understand why 2% of the battery has been drained in just 20 days and 11 charging cycles, especially since I've turned off most of the settings that drain the battery, like location services and others.

pls any one help me

What kind of shortcut are you using to see your battery health? Your iPhone only displays the battery health by a whole number, not a decimal. Also third party apps to view your battery health are sometimes inaccurate, and you should only use the battery health in the Settings app. So your battery health probably is still at 100%.

Batteries, like people are individuals. No two people age exactly the same and batteries don’t age the same either. The exact usage, chemical makeup, storage conditions, exposure to heat and cold and about a dozen other factors mean that every battery ages differently. Battery aging is not a linear (straight line) and degrades at different rates as the chemicals in the battery age and other factors mentioned above. Apple expects your battery health to be at 80% after 24 months. If your battery health misses that expectation, contact Apple Support.

No. That is as shortcut to a 3rd party app you've installed on your iPhone. It cannot be counted on to be accurate at all.

You need to stop worrying about Battery Health decline. ALL batteries lose a little health with every charge you do. It is inevitable your batteries health will decline and one day, when it dips to 80%, which it will if you own it long enough, it will then be time to pay Apple to replace the battery. In the meantime, worrying over the natural decline of battery health is a waste of time.

Be careful what you see online, that is not a source to view your battery health, and is inaccurate.

I really appreciate everyone's concern and help.

As I see from everyone's opinion, I should not trust third-party apps and rely entirely on the company’s data. However, my main worry is that the app could be accurate, and what it shows is real. I might be surprised after a month or two to find that the battery health is at 90% after just 20 charges or less.

But it seems there is no way to know for sure except by waiting and seeing what happens.

I truly thank everyone for their cooperation with me.

I can assure you the third party apps are most definitely inaccurate, and are not real. Have a good day.
