How to make my Windows PC a trusted device for Apple Account login?

when I sign into apple account with my windows pc, i have to manually enter password and 2 factor code. any shortcuts to make my pc a trusted deice?

How do I stop being asked to turn on two-factor authentication? Apple is pushing two-factor authentication hard, whether a customer wants it or not. I recently updated my password and can no longer use windows devices except in a browser as outlook cannot handle the gorilla marketing demand to update. I notice the two-factor authentication page shows it benefiting apple products with no mention of linux or windows compatibility. Is apple so bent on two-factor authentication it is willing to alienate all other operating systems? Need to have an option to disable being asked - ever.

trying to login on an older iMac and it will not pop up the six-number code box for the two factor verification I try to login to itunes or icloud on my iMac and it will not show the two factor authentication box to enter the code. It tells me I need the verification code...but no place to enter it! :(

Per Apple: “A trusted device is a Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch that you’ve already signed in to using two-factor authentication.”

So, no PC.
