I need to transfer content from my old Mac to my new one. The antivirus software on the old Mac made it unusable. How do I transfer my content to the new computer without also transferring the antivirus program?

1) Uninstall the AV-ware from the old Mac as per the developers instructions.
Then make a new Time Machine backup of the old Mac.
Migrate from the old Mac's new Time Machine.
2) Uninstall the AV-ware from the old Mac as per the developers instructions.
Then Migrate directly from the old Mac to the new Mac.

FWIW migrating from your old Mac's Time Machine backup is faster and more reliable than migrating Mac to Mac.

FWIW migrating from your old Mac's Time Machine backup is faster and more reliable than migrating Mac to Mac.
