No voice memos layering on iPhone 15 Pro Max?!

Since I’m in Portugal, none of the real features in iOS 18 are available yet. No Apple Intelligence related features, no iPhone Mirroring in Sequoia… pretty much nothing! The one that got me a bit excited was the new layering feature in Voice Memos but I guess my 1-year-old iPhone 15 Pro Max is not powerful enough to run that feature!? Really Apple? I’m so disappointed… Does anyone know if this feature will be available later on? Feels like Apple has discontinued my 1-year-old iPhone 15 Pro Max… There’s no other reason why Apple wouldn’t give a minor feature like this one (and others) to their costumers with older phones. Voice layering is only available on the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.

If it's only available on those two phones, I suspect there are hardware considerations. If so, it will never be available on your phone.

There’s no way this is due to the hardware. This is simply Apple starting to slowly reduce the value of older devices, which is understandable after a few years, but after only 1 year is just shameful really. Voice Memos is a pretty light application. I bet an iPhone 6 would be capable of having this feature…
