when i block a phone no, it goes to blocked phone list. i can only unblock it which i don’t want to do. apple shud give us a capability to permanently remove these numbers.

Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts
Slide the numbers you want removed from the list to the left. That unblocks the number and removes it from the list.

There is no way to tell your phone to block a number without having that stored on your phone so it knows. As for storage used, it is next to nil. To prevent a number from even going to your phone, you would need to contact your cell provider.

I never need to look there, so I never see them. The only reason why you would even need to go there is if you had blocked a number and now want to unblock that number. How often would that ever happen?

Why is it annoying? They don't exactly jump out at you... you have to dig for them just to see the list.
They are pretty effectively hidden already.
You can remove the numbers from the list, which will un-block it.

Keeping it on your list might take up .000001% of your storage.
That's like saying walk/run, or yes/no.
You're trying to tell the OS to apply entirely opposing options at the same time.
The amount of storage a phone number takes is minuscule.

Unless you intentionally open the blocked list of numbers (or email addresses) in Settings, you don't see them at all.
The very simple solution is to not look there.
