Anyone use HSBC for online banking via an iMac?

Recently my online banking has stopped saving my user name on login in spite of me checking the box to save it. The HSBC chat bot button has also disappeared from their display.

HSBC tell me that it's an Apple problem.

Has anyone else had these minor issues?

I'm using an iMac and Safari but it also doesn't work with Chrome.

It would probably be correct to assume that the Firefox version you are using now is 133.0.3 (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/133.0.3/system-requirements/), that is the latest one available. So, all three web browsers appear to have the issue. I cannot immediately see in what way the iMac or macOS would be responsible for the behaviour in question. Do you possibly have access to a Windows or Linux PC for a comparative test? You may have to contact the bank again. Is everything else working as it should?

I thought the same, that the bank system is the issue.

The bank say it's not, so no progress.

I don't have access to a Windows or LInex PC.

Everything is working ok and it's really just an irritation and not that serious.

The chatbot button disappeared once before and came back. so perhaps it will again.

HSBC don't give an email but they do have contact via their bot when I use my iPhone. I've tried that and via phone call and the answer was the same - fault is from Apple.


We'll see if others raise it.
