Which exact Brother DCP model?

Would it be correct to assume that it is an AirPrint printer (that is, you can print without an additional app)?

Generally speaking, when devices/computers (one or more) cannot properly recognise an AirPrint printer, a full power-cycle sequence (do not forget the Wi-Fi router) may be worth trying as a first step:

  • Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the iPhone, the iPad, and all other devices/computers.
  • Wait two to three minutes.
  • Power on the router.
  • Wait two to three minutes.
  • Power on the printer.
  • Wait a minute or two.
  • Power on the iPhone, the iPad, and all other devices/computers.

You are not using a VPN app?

If your device has network connectivity issues, check for VPN and other third-party security software - Apple Support

Also, check that your printer has the latest firmware. If necessary, update.
