Deconflicting Siri on iPhone and Mac

I ask my iMac and the phone always chimes in taking over. is there a way to deconflict them?

Not really, no. In my experience, Siri can be a bit unpredictable as to what device responds. In theory it's supposed to respond from either the closest device or the one that last responded, but that doesn't always happen that way, and there's no way to designate which device you want to have handle the request other than turning Siri off completely on a given device. If you wish to provide feedback to Apple suggesting improvements, you can do so here:
