New Magic Mouse won't scroll

I bought a new Magic Mouse and am trying to use it with my iMac running Monterey 12.7.6. I bought it to use with a new Mac Book Air, but the mouse on my older Mac got damaged and I'm trying to use the new mouse with the older Mac. The mouse will not scroll on either the MB Air or the iMac. It will point and click on both devices and on the Mac Book, I have enabled the 'Scroll Naturally' feature. I've tried searching for an answer to no avail. Any suggestions?

There have been many reports that the scrolling issue with the new Magic Mouse was resolved with macOS 15.1 but I haven't seen any solution for Macs that cannot upgrade to that. Following is one previous discussion of the issue: New Magic Mouse USB-C Does Not Scroll - Apple Community

Thank you. I read the article and it appears that there is nothing I can do right now. The Mac Book should have the latest iOs as I just got it a couple months ago, but it is showing Sonoma 14.6. I don't see how to update to 15. I'm planning to order a new Mac after Christmas, but that doesn't help much right now!!!!
