reorder photo library so newest at the top

can anyone help me to reorder my photo library so newest is on the top rather than having to scroll through?

I’ve tried the customised sorting option but that has t changed anything.

What happened to sorting pictures in Photos app? I’ve looked through Apple Support and found a few articles that say you can choose the order of your pictures in the Photos app by opening an album and clicking on the “…” menu at the top right and choosing “Sort”, but there is no such option in that menu. What happened to that option? Why would they get rid of that feature? It’s so annoying that I can’t arrange my pictures however I want to in that app.

How do I change order of photos in Photos app? When I select 'photos' they display old at top, new at bottom. When you first open the Main Window for Photos, the most recent images are right there, at the bottom of the Library view and in the very middle of the window. It probably would not be popular to force people to scroll up through 15000 pictures,, say, to see the recent ones.

If you have some old pictures that you would like to find quickly, you put put those in albums.
