Migrating iMac boot drive to a larger SSD

Hi

I have a 2017 iMac running 13.7.2 (the latest OS it can run). It currently boots from/everything is stored on a single external SSD. The internal Fusion Drive no longer seems to work properly (and is too small).

I have two Time Machine backups of the external SSD on two other SSDs.

I am now running out of space on the external SSD and so I would like to move everything to a larger SSD drive/use that new larger drive to boot from/store everything on.

Is this something I can use migration assistant to do? If so, how do I do it please? I have been looking at the Apple support pages but they seem to (understandably) focus on moving from an old Mac to a new Mac.

You would be required to Install Ventura 13.7.2 , Directly onto the New and Larger External SSD Drive

Upon first reboot, Setup Asset should present

It is that specific time you can initial the migration from the newest Time Machine

Just to be clear

Time Machine Backup does Not and a Full and Working copy of the Operating System

Time Machine only makes backup of your User Account and all that is contained therein
