iPad Gen 9 stops charging after 1%

Just recently the charger that I used to charge my iPad has started to fray, yet I have continued to use it. Today it died and took around five minutes to recover to 1%, but it hasn't charged since and isn't even saying it's charging. I've had it for three years, and this is the first time I've encountered this problem. Any solutions?

iPad Air 1st Gen not actively charging despite gaining battery percentage My 1st Gen iPad Air has been dead in a cupboard for a year or so. Plugged it in last night, did a factory reset, iOS is up to date, charging port is free of debris, and I am using a new Apple cable and block. The iPad is gaining battery percentage, but is not showing that it is actively charging. It's gone from 12% to 25% in about 24 hours. My IPad says it’s charging but it keeps dropping charge Sometimes when I plug my IPad in (generally under 20%. You know, when it needs to be charged) it will say it’s charging, the battery will have the little lighting bolt but it won’t charge. The percentage will actually go down. I don’t know why. The charger works very well with my phone, but not with my IPad (unless I plug it in early). It’s very frustrating. Why does this happen?

If the Power Adapter or cable that you use to charge your iPad has any damage whatsoever, discontinue use of these items as they need to be replaced.

Using a damaged or defective Power Adapter or cable may cause irreparable damage to any devices to which they are connected - such as your iPad.
