Function keys "F1 and F2" not working post macOS Ventura update

Since the update on Ventura yesterday, the F1 and F2 buttons do not work on my keyboard. Also the symbol on the top of the screen where it includes Display, I cannot move anything or get the display area to register or show anything or lighten or darken the screen.

Also the keyboard mouse is not running smoothly and keeps getting stuck.

This has happened since I did the Ventura software update yesterday.

running Ventura 13.7.2 in iMac

Please help.
