Unable to receive a WhatsApp Verification Code

When installing WhatsApp after restoring my iPhone 12 WhatsApp was unable to send me a verification code.

I resolved this by doing a network reset Settings/General/Transfer or Reset iPhone/Reset/Reset Network Settings. This forced my phone to reconnect to my service provider. After that I could communicate with WhatsApp

since updating to ios17. I have been unable to receive SMS messages when I try to reload Whatsapp On myiphone 6 I used whatsapp all the time to talk to my daughters, but since my "upgrade to iphone 12 and ios17 I can no longer receive the verification code via SMS, I have no problem messaging other users

iPhone not receiving Apple account verification codes My iPhone is not receiving verification codes. I get the "Apple account sign in requested" pop-up on my phone, and I click "allow." Then ... nothing happens. I do not have any connection issues - I can send and receive texts, emails, and phone calls. But the verification code never comes. Sometimes, but not always, I get the option to receive the code via text. The text comes through fine. What could be wrong? Any ideas how to address it?
