Can't see my RIP music in Apple Music on my iPhone

I am trying to integrate the use of my iPhone with my PC Windows 10 (soon to be Win11). I have Apple Music, iCloud and Apple Devices and EVEN iTunes on my PC. I used to use iTunes to add albums to my Apple Music collection. I notice that the music I purchased using iTunes album by Album is shown on Apple Music on my PC. AND I can see these albums on my iPhone and play them say via WiFi or over mobile data (when away from the PC etc..). I have dragged a RIPd CD Album onto Apple Music and it shows it as a recently added album. Can do this for others. They all show. However when I look on Apple Music on the iPhone 8 they don't show and I can't play them. I don't subscribe to Apple Music per month - maybe that is the problem?? I would prefer to pay album by album by individual purchase as I did before on iTunes. And then add them to Apple Music AND be able to add my RiPd CDs that I had from the past that I purchased. Just getting used to Apple and iPhones - I didn't have this problem with my Android phone and RIPd music. How can I play my RIPd CDS on my iPhone via Apple Music?
