iTunes Not Detecting My iPhone

I just did a Windows update and now when I open iTunes, it won't detect my phone. I'm going on vacation in 2 days and have a bunch of music I need to sync from iTunes to my phone.

I saw something that said iTunes is no more and we have to use Apple music. Does this mean I have to pay to get my music synced now? Thanks.

If you've inadvertently installed the Apple Music for Windows app this limits iTunes to working with audiobooks and podcasts, and prevents any device management functions. Remove any of Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Devices that are installed, then reopen iTunes and select Music from the media selection tool to show your library again. While Apple are clearly encouraging users to move to Apple Music it is not yet an ideal replacement for iTunes.

If your device still won't appear after the above try iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community.
