Bootcamp install error 0x80070057 when trying to install Windows 10

As titled, I’m trying to install Windows 10, and when I try to format the BootCamp partition, I get error code 0x80070057 ‘We couldn’t format the selected partition’.

I tried repairing my disk as in Discussion 0x80070057 error when trying to format bo… - Apple Community. That didn’t help unfortunately.

I even tried making a new USB drive from the Windows 10 ISO I had with BootCamp Assistant.

Windows is just so frustrating sometimes. Any help would be very appreciated 🙏

I went to install Windows again, to try to fix the problem with one of your articles and it just decided to work without trying anything! Windows has a mind of its own.

But one thing that may be useful to other people facing the same issue, is that when it worked this time, there was not 5 mostly 0MB random partitions, there was only EFI, the Mac partition and the BOOTCAMP drive.

So try deleting any partitions (proceed with caution) that are not EFI, the Mac, and your BOOTCAMP drive.

Thank you very much Rudegar!
