Pairing Magic Keyboard and Trackpad with Mac Mini and iMac

I have both an imac and a mac mini on my desk and I'd rather not have two keyboards. What can my magic keyboard and trackpad mouse do, if anything? Can I pair them to both devices? What limitations are there?

Pairing a new Magic Mouse and new Magic Keyboard to a new Mac Mini M4 Pro upon startup...no cables needed! So you have received your new Mac Mini M4. When you power it up for the first time for setup, you will see a screen alternating between a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard diagrams. If you have a Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard, there is no need to connect them to your Mini with a wired connection. Just turn them both ON and give the Mini M4 a minute. It will find them both and establish a BT connection automatically. This worked with both the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard. Both were new and purchased separately from the Mac Mini M4 Pro. I don't know if this will work with 3rd party mice and keyboards. Apple chat was not aware that this worked.

Magic Trackpad Just purchased a Magic Trackpad to use with a Mac Pro Late 2013. Trackpad comes with a lightning to USB C cable. Instructions to pair with the computer require using this cable to connect to the Mac Pro, which has only USB A and Thunderbolt ports.. Is there a way to pair the device to the computer via Bluetooth? Alternatively, what is the best USB C to A adapter to connect the Trackpad to the computer?

bluetooth mice and headset can be paired with more than 1 device but can only have an active connection with one at the time

logitech sell keyboards and mice with a physical switch to change between parallel paired devices

otherwise you need to look into The Best KVM Switches for 2022

but that would be for wired devices only I believe
