Live Photos do not work after iOS update

All live photos I had saved in my watch faces, no longer work after the recent iOS update. When I click on one I get a screen that pops up and says “Make Changes with the New Photos Watch

You'll be able to edit a copy of this face using new features. Your current watch face will not be deleted.

it turns it into a basic still photo watch face. Why is this happening? I’ve unpaired it and re-paired it as a new watch even and still will not work. I’d really appreciate some help!
