Dell P2214H DP connection issue with MacBook Air i5 2020

I have MBA i5 from 2020 and Dell P2214H monitor. It has VGA DVI and DP ports.

The problem is: I cannot connect to it via DP neither monitor nor laptop recognise each other. At the same time if I use VGA it works perfectly fine.

I know for a fact that my hub, cable and monitor have working DP as I can use them to connect Steam Deck perfectly fine

So what could be the problem?

2nd HP 24 mh Monitor will not connect after update to Sonoma 14.7.1 M3 13 inch MacBook Air. Was running two HP monitors as external displays. Ran them both through a dongle and one of the USB ports. Absolutely no problems. After updating to Sonoma 14.7.1 the second monitor is no longer recognized. I checked all cables, dongles, and ports on the M3. One monitor will connect. I can switch ports and monitors and it still connects. Downloaded latest version of DisplayLink. Changed connection permissions to ask always. Asks for everything but the 2nd monitor. It will connect to an Acer monitor and also to Home Theatre no problem so it may be a HP specific issue? Was going to upgrade to Sequoia but now only if it fixes this problem. Not enthusiastic about downgrading to 14.6.1 but have Time Machine backups to do that. Any help with a fix that works would be appreciated.

Thunderbolt to Display Port Cable Not Working I recently bought a mac Mini M2 Pro and connected it to my Dell U2422H 24" monitor with an HDMI cable and it worked fine. But I wanted to connect it with a Thunderbolt to Display Port cable since I know the picture can be a little better. Anyway I bought a Benefei USB-C to Display Port cable and connected it up and when I turn both the Mac and Monitor on it says no DP cable… Is this just a compatibility issue or am I missing something else?

Unable to connect my MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey with external monitor I'm running OS12.6.3 Monterey. My external monitor was working perfectly with the laptop, until it stopped. I made no changes to any settings on the macbook. I restarted both. I disconnected all other exterenal devices. Any other suggestions? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
