Apps don’t just “pop up”. Someone has to install them. Lura.live is a website that has a low security rating. If it appears as an icon on your home page then you or someone who uses your iPhone created a bookmark and added the bookmark to your Home page, or you went to the site and it created a bookmark for you.

You can remove it as you delete any other app→Remove or delete apps from iPhone - Apple Support

If it doesn’t delete there are 2 things to check:

  1. If you have Screen Time enabled, go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases and change Deleting Apps to Allow, then try deleting the app again.
  2. The app has a Profile→How to delete an app that has a configuration profile on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Finally, if none of these work:

  • Parental Controls have blocked deleting apps
  • If you have a work email account or school email account on your device, or it has MDM enabled the administrator can block deleting apps

Well this app did. I was googling info about a murder near me in a coffee shop. I left to do other business. When I returned to my new vehicle, and turned it on, Lura.live was playing the press conference from the district atty regarding this case. Ok, this is just creepy. I promise I never installed it or heard of it before. The app is in my apple play screen in the vehicle. It is not in my phone that I can see and I cannot get rid of it.
