iOS 18.2 email notification not accurate

After updating to iOS 18.2, the notification bubble on my screen telling me how many new/unread messages I have has been wildly wrong. Seemingly, stuck at 32. I also do not receive notifications that I've new mail, in the notification center.

I keep messages "Unread" for quick easy recall for whatever the content may be. Currently, I actually have 68 unread messages, for example.

When I open the mail app, and look at the inboxes, my "All Inboxes" registers the correct unread count.

I have tried the reset (Volume Up, Down, then hold the power button until black screen with the Apple logo reappears). I have logged out and back in to my email accounts.

I have an iPhone 16Pro.

I turned off the Apple Intelligence Sorting stupidity for email, too. That was hiding so many pertinent emails and prioritizing spam and sales emails irrelevant to work and daily tasks.

Just kind of unbelievable the amount of issues with this new iOS.

Same problem here with one additional observation. When I switch to the separate Inboxes for the three mail servers that I access through Mail on my iPhone, the status magically updates, i.e., the messages are marked read or deleted as they should be from my previous interactions on my computer. When I return to All Inboxes, the corrected status is preserved...at least until the next round of emails come in.
