How to access International apps from the App Store on iPhone?

Hello!

I reside in the United States but I travel to the United Kingdom regularly. Years ago, I was frustrated because apps in the UK were not available in the US App Store. I had read here, in these forums, that the work around was to set up a new Apple ID (different email) for that region. This worked and I was able to download the apps I needed.

Since the pandemic, and subscribing to Apple TV+ and Disney+, Apple now say that in order to sign in with a different Apple ID you must cancel all subscriptions. I don't want to do this, but I do want to download a particular app that isn't available in the US App Store.

Two things to note:

  1. Previous UK Apps that had been downloaded prior to getting the subscriptions continue to update as normal even with the UK Apple ID.
  2. The particular app I need is the "My Vodafone UK" app. ALL other Vodafone (countries) are available in the US Store (Ireland, Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, Greece etc) but NOT the UK.

Does anyone have a work around for this? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I figured it out.

In the App Store on the iPhone, click on your little picture in the top right. This opens up the Account page. Once it populates with all your apps, scroll all the way to the bottom. Click "Sign Out".

Scroll all the way to the top again and here you have "Sign in with Apple Account". Click on it.

Now the default account is the one you're signed in on in the iCloud. You have 3 options:

Click on the middle option starting with "Not..." & and sign in with your 2nd Apple Account.

Provided you have set up an Apple Account for the country/region you desire, you now can browse and select apps that you can't get in the US.

NOTE: You may have to add a payment card even though you'd most likely only be downloading the free apps.

When you're done downloading the apps you want make sure you scroll to the bottom again and click on the Sign Out button. Then Scroll all the way to the top and now when you have the 3 options to sign back in again, verify that is says "You are signed into iCloud as..." and click "Continue"

You will now be signed back in to your original/default App Store.

I hope this is useful.

Cheers!
