Secondary (my kids') apple watch 10 no location found

My daughter lost her apple watch. Bought her a new one. Set it up from backup before leaving the Apple store.

A few days later I opened find my which we connected to in store and I get "No Location Found"

HOWEVER if I go into her watch on the watch app on my phone as opposed to just going into "Find My" and click "Find My Apple Watch, it works!?!?

The problem with THAT is if her watch is not withing spitting distance from my phone I won't be able to go into her watch through the watch app on my phone....

Other info:

Both my phone and her watch are on bluetooth, wifi and she has cellular and both have the latest software installed.

Oh and YES I tried all the basics you come across when searching on the net...

Anyone else? Anyone???
