I need to remove my apple ID from an old macbook that I sold, but when I go into Find My and select the device my only option is to Erase device. Why isn't there an option to Remove the device?

To remove your Apple ID from a device, simply log out of your Apple ID in Settings>Apple ID. If you have sold the device already and you mean you want to remove it from your Apple ID Device List, log into your account at https://account.apple.com/ and remove it there.
